At Niki Moon Salon we only use the best products for our clients’ hair, and it’s no different for our keratin treatments. We use the GK Hair taming systems. The GK Light Wave, Curly, and Resistant formulas are in-salon treatments that improve texture, enhance manageability, and reduce frizz for three to five months! The Gkhair taming formulas smooths out waves and curls while eliminating frizz, repairing damaged hair, and delivering shine! The three different formulas restore and protect your hair, all while maintaining the hair’s natural properties by creating a shield over each strand. Your hair is restored from the inside out and is protected against harmful UV rays, pollutants, chemical treatments, and the rigors of daily shampooing and styling.That’s right, ladies! HOW TO PROTECT AND MAINTAIN HAIR AFTER TREATMENT

The first 48 hours

Immediately after treatment you cannot wash your hair for 48 hours. During this time the treatment is really bonding to your hair. If you wash your hair too soon after your treatment, it wont be as effective. Also during this 48 hour period make sure you don’t put ponytails in your hair, put sunglasses on your head, or put your hair behind your ear (basically, don’t do anything that leaves a kink in your hair). The goal during this 48 hour period is to keep your hair as smooth and tame as possible.

What should I do if I accidentally kink my hair or it gets a little wet?

No worries, this happens sometimes. If your hair gets a little wet, just dry it immediately with a blow dryer and run a flat iron back over it a little to make sure it’s smooth. If you accidentally kink your hair, just run a flat iron over the kink and you’re good to go!

After the first 48 hours

At Niki Moon Salon we like to provide you with the shampoo and conditioner you’re going to use with your treatment. To us, it is essential for the after care! So on the day of your treatment you will receive one bottle of shampoo and conditioner to use and they are included in the price of your treatment.

The GKhair aftercare products are fortified with Juvexin and developed to maintain and extend the life of your treatment. Juvexin is a special blend of proteins and peptides optimized specifically for the hair. Juvexin was developed to restore the hair back to its youthful state and is only used in GK hair products. Juvexin penetrates the hair shaft and delivers important moisturizing benefits. This improves the softness and reduces friction, making your hair able to withstand heat better. On both wet and dry hair there is less tangling and it is easier to manage. Juvexin also makes the hair less prone to breaking.
