COVID 19 and Niki Moon Salon

A Message from Niki Moon:

Thank you to all our amazing guests who have been so supportive and encouraging through this time. We truly appreciate you so much.

Due to the “stay at home” order(s) issued by Governor Pritzker, and for the safety of our staff and customers; Niki Moon Salon has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend our operations.

The salon is currently closed and will open again on Monday, June 1st 2020 (or such date we’re allowed to legally resume operations).

Our staff is working on calling all clients scheduled between March 20th and May 31st whose appointments we will no longer be able to honor as a result of the Governor’s “stay at home” order. Please be patient with our staff as we are doing our best to accommodate all guests.

Once normal operations resume – all team members will be adding additional hours to provide flexible scheduling opportunities.

Along with extended hours, the salon has made the following improvements/changes for the safety of our guests and staff:

1.) All stations are at least 6′ apart.

2.) All stations are separated by 40 square feet of 1/2″ tempered glass

3.) Additional HVAC and filtration capacity, including the use of UVGI technology, has been deployed throughout the salon.

4.) Staff schedules/availability will be adjusted so as to stagger personal, reduce overlap, and avoid overcrowding.

5.) Hand sanitization will be provided at all stations.

6.) Optional face masks will be provided to all guests free of charge.

7.) Contactless payments such as Apple Pay or Google Pay are now accepted.

8.) We have temporarily closed our waiting area. Clients will be asked to remain in their car until their appointment. All guests will be checked in over the phone. We ask all customers with an appointment to leave any guests at home or in their car as they will not be allowed into the salon.

9.) Depending on state guidelines, we may require all guests to have their temperature taken prior to entering the facility as a precautionary screening measure.

10.) New sanitization procedures have been put in place, including, but not limited to:

a.) Sanitization of workstations and all equipment between clients

b.) The use of single use aprons

c.) The use of single use towels

This is an unprecedented time in our history and we are in territory that we have never been before. Never in a million years did I think I would need to temporarily close our doors for a pandemic. But here we are. This is hard. I’m broken hearted. But I also know myself as well as my amazing team members can and WILL come back from this.

Thank you so much! We love you! We WILL see you on the other side of this and we will be stronger.

The comeback is always greater than the setback. We’ve got this!

Owner and Master Stylist,
Niki Moon
